Phoenix radio host says Bucks may have offered Mids, Brogdon/1st for Kyrie....

Suns were never really in on Kyrie but here is a nugget - Milwaukee was close - offered Brogdon, Middleton and a 1st round pick.

Wow. I would have loved that ONLY if the Bucks would be able to lock Kyrie up for more than just 2 years.
If Kyrie would have walked after his contract is up, I wouldn't have made the deal.

Close but no cigar.

If this is in fact a real option and not just smoke, I would absolutely throw in that 1st round pick ONLY if you can lock him up long term.
If it's for a two year rental, I would still pass.

I don't know how I feel about this however, don't disagree with what your saying. We have such a bad history of making bad trades which I fear the most about asking a deal like this.

they used the stretch provision on him, meaning he'll count $2M against the cap the next 3 years. So the next 3 years the Bucks are using $4M in cap money between Hawes and Sanders.

I don't think it was even a thing to not even being close.
Seems completely made up to me.

Not completely made up, I read multiple places the Bucks were engaged as a 3rd team in the melo to Houston talks since Houston has no one the knicks want. All said Parker's name came up. The hilarious line was "we aren't sure if it was Milwaukee or New York who brought up Parker."

I am sure who brought him up, the Knicks, and it was at that point that the Bucks left the talks entirely.

Side note, I don't see anyway the Bucks work as a 3rd team in those talks. Their players either have too much value (giannis, Parker, Middleton) or too little salary (Brogdon) unless the knicks will take a salary dump or expirings (Monroe and Henson?) not sure what the Bucks could get back either to make it work

Sure, that makes sense. I don't think the Bucks ever offered up Parker.

I read that and laughed to myself.
Not sure who's giving him that advice, but you don't get max deals just because you were a high pick. He has not done squat yet.
