so there is one candidate left and the Bucks still can't make up the minds.

something else is going on.

Unless it's just down to contract negotiations now?

Apparently Jon Horst is now the favorite for the job. Horst has worked for the Bucks for 9 years under Hammond.

This reeks of the ownership not being able to agree on anyone, so they just settle on someone who everybody sort of likes. I'm fearful of the consequences of this GM search.

the owners seem to want to have a yes man as their GM.

that worked really well when Kohl was doing it.

meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

Weird.
Zanic must be thinking, what the hell am I doing here.

I want Hammond back, can someone make that happen?

If I'm really trying to be positive...

Horst is a Hammond guy, so maybe he'll continue the path they've been on. But that takes an awful lot of optimism.

Are the Bucks trying to rival the terrible decisions made by the Sacramento Kings?

Well... at least Vlade won't be viewed as the worst GM in the league anymore.

I think Herb Kohl gave Lasry and Edens advice on how to run a team.

I heard that Edens will be the only owner at the press conference today.

What an inept organization.

the presser was depressing. The new guy showed zero confidence.

I doubt it knowing the media in this state but did anyone ask what happened to the simple majority vote for making decisions or where Lasry was?

Or how they could be down to two finalists, one of the finalists gets promoted with his current team, then they hire someone not even on their list?

Or why they paid Rod Thorn to get a list of names together then not hire any of them?

He just sounded like a fan kid who's in over his head, which he probably is.

This is now the owners team to make whatever decisions they want, Horst seems to be nothing more than a talking head to take the fall if the owners make bad choices.
I see many scenarios where Horst will want a move (and possibly the correct one) that the owners don't agree with. And they say to him, "hmmmmm, yeah. Let's not do that. Thanks".
And there you go. Lets just hope this owner group and Kidd is also good at GM'ing.
